The Name LeDosquet

Joe and family,
Heather showed me how to get into your BLOG. This will be a short lesson on the name LeDosquet. The original name in Belgium was Dosquet. One of our Dosquet family won favor with the king of Belgium and was given a grant of land (all land in the kingdom was owned by the king). With the grant of land came a title and Dosquet became known as LeDosquet ( Le meaning The). Where all capital letters are used the name should be spelled LE DOSQUET.
When Adolph Hitler came into power he banished all titles so the name LeDosquet became
Ledosquet. The German LeDosquets are just now going back to the original spelling LeDosquet.
When your grandmother and I were in Europe the first time we drove down to Belgium with Gerd LeDosquet and met the family of Ludwig Dosquet. They are on our family tree and spoke French. We also have the genalogy of the Dosquets and LeDosquets back to the year 1300. Be sure to pass this on to your family, especially the boys who will carry this name on to future generations. More later, GPA LeDosquet 11/28/07

Hi everyone!
Here is a picture of us at Thanksgiving. Not the best, but there it is.

Just was wondering what everyones CHristmas plans are this year? WHere are you going and what are you doing?

Blaine and Linda are also coming for Christmas!

I think I really enjoy NOT going anywhere for Christmas, but rather enjoy being at home. It is nice to have people come here.

We are looking forward to seeing the lights on temple square, the festival of the trees (this weekend), playing in the snow (when more comes), making Christmas goodies!! ANd just enjoying the season.

Don't Everyone Go At Once

Well, this blog has gotten off to an amazing start. I guess I will post some news in the hopes that everyone will come out of their shells.

We recently found out that the Disney Channel is looking for a new animated series idea and has given the animation department at BYU the "green light" to submit ideas. We submitted individual ideas to the class last week and mine was one of the ones that went over well. We have now broken off into groups to polish the ideas and then we will present them to Disney. If the idea is picked up by Disney then that gives me not only the power to negotiate rights with them, but a pretty good "in" with the story department at Disney.

So, we are pretty excited about that. I will keep you posted on what happens, as well as upload character designs and pitch art as it is available.

Welcome!

Welcome to the LeDosquet Family Blog. I thought this would be a great way to keep each other informed of events and occasions that arise in our families. Also, it could be a great forum for planning the next LeDosquet Family Reunion (since it's been nearly 5 years since the last one). Please contribute news as often as you can and hopefully this will make a good record for posterity, as well.
